RE: The legal issue I went some weeks ago to an all-day lawyers seminar on the y2k issue. (I am not a lawyer.) Anyway . . . one can ask for y2k compliance from a vendor. But what does "compliance" mean. It means "adhering to a standard." So who sets the standard? A trade organization? A vendor group? Interesting isn't it? You have to know who sets the standard before you can be compliant and there is no legally recognized standard, just a bunch of loose standards or definition. I found this conference tremendously interesting.
