If you knew Dell's history a little better, you would understand that you can't compare it to what happens to other companies before or after a split. It does its own thing. So making generalizations based on what xyz did or does after a split, just doesn't work with Dell.

I made lots of money buying into dell after it split. I could have made more had I known it was going to take off just because they announced the split. But like I said, I was forced to wait and wait, and it finally split and I got in. It only lost 10 pts, like I said big deal, then it went on to go up some more and more...

Dell is Dell. Can't be compared to any other. Any time is a good time to get into Dell if you hold it.
