a successful experiment tonight, Rosie.
I did rice pasta with a sauce of olive oil, crushed garlic, grapes, pepper flakes, Italian sausage, and olives.
Yen's been working long hours lately, so I've been doing a lot of cooking. I really enjoy it.
Last weekend, though, she did a Thai dinner for some foody friends of ours, and it was spectacular:
Prawns skewers Coconut curry chicken wings beef salad with a thai pepper vingrette
We recently went into a little hole in the wall Senegalese restaurant, it's literally 6' wide and 20' deep, it has three tables.....and the food is so phucking good, it's unbelievable. Very hot, but so flavorful. Love the owner, Mamadhoo, and his family. He said he'd do a special menu for us if we filled the restaurant (10 people), so we're going to set that up soon, have a group of our friends take the place over. That's going to be some good fun, come to Seattle, we'll go. |
