O.K gang Time to analyze a problem with Microsoft Essentials the virus program THE COW told me to use. I have an automatic scan scheduled to run at night when the computer is off but it never has worked. So I ended up doing a FULL SCAN which takes almost four hours manually. However recently the little green flag which shows when the scan has been done and all is fine has turned into an orange warning flag and it on opening the program it says I have not scanned in a long while. MEANWHILE this is happening more than once a week and I scan ( full ) every week. I go ahold of Microsoft and described the occurrence and they want $ 99 . to fix it. I wonder, does anyone here have a solution or should I delete the entire program and reinstall... WHAT SHOULD I DO TO RECITFY THIS WITHOUT PAYING WHAT I CONSIDER AN OVER PRICED FEE. Does anyone else have a better FREE security program... I miss the COW so much... and suspect he is not well or has passed. AND I am losing a friend a month life is hard.
