You can apply many of the tools to a real time chart. I keep a 89 period MA and a MACD(13,34,89) to my 5 min charts. Street Smarts and hit and run books give some setups but haven't seen anything that would get you out right at 4:00PM with a nice profit. I suppose the best thing there is watch every trade and attempt to jump on a mover. But your screens fill up and it gets hard to follow.
