Serve the interests of the country? I suppose it depends on how you define "the country". If you mean those with pull in the Republican party, then yes. No one else really counts.With the Right, it is all about power. Because when they have control, they can loot the country with impunity. When they finally drain it dry, they can move somewhere else and spend the rest of their days moaning how the socialists ran the country in to the ground with out ever acknowledging it was really they who did it. It is just what sociopaths do. It is never their fault.
