Do you really think that this kind of politicking and much worse doesn't go on in every organization known to man?
LOL, really?

If four employees of BP died on the job, and their managers covered up the causes, the lawyers and the media would have a field day.

If four people died due to a car defect or some side effects of a drug, and the makers of said car or drug tried to cover up the reasons, the lawyers and the media would have a field day.

Only in liberal politics can you cover up the causes of four people dying for political purposes AND get a pass.
