No, in fact we have found five intermediate fossils now that quite nicely fit the whales transitional model, especially the inner ear structures. Not only this but as comprehension grew of where these creatures might have evolved in gelogical strata computational models, scientists thought they knew where to look & voila there were the fossils being found in abundance.
