Glenn, I'm holding on to my 100 shares of XLNX; if I sell them I know Xilinx will take off and leave me in the dust. I would like to add another 100 at <34 if it drops again. Several years ago I bought 300 shares of XLNX at 30 and sold 300 shares at 34 for a nice profit; I was planning on buying it back later at around 30 but unfornuately for me it went to 120 and then split 4 for 1 giving a price of 30 again. So now I get a little paranoid when I don't have any XLNX. I'm finally having a good week (boy its's been a long time since I've had one). I had bought 200 ASND at 23 and sold 100 at 30 today; I think a good approach when you have a stock you really like is to sell half on a big rise that way you lock in some profit. If it keeps going up your happy; if it goes down you get a chance to buy back at good stock at a cheaper price.

I'm tempted to buy Actel; you said the tecnicals looked good, but I'm afraid they are going to have a hard time competing with Xilinx. At Xilinx web site they have some price comparisons with Altera and it looks like they are aggressively undercuting Altera's prices. Maybe thats why Altera is expecting a flat quarter. If you have time let me know how Ascend's technicals are looking. Check out these links; I think you will find them interesting:

Good luck,
William

P.S A lot of people pronounce Xilinx wrong. If you spell it like it's pronounced it would be close to Zeyelinks
