Its my belief that target prices by analyst's are mostly poppycock.

If enough data points are thrown into a blender any price target can be justified.

But more importantly...there is a tremendous amount of analytical plagiarism between analysts.

Have you ever noticed that the same headline theme is repeated over and over by different analysts. Example..
"Intel is losing the chip war"......or "Intel is losing market share". very little original thinking or analysis.

The market determines target prices....and that's why we have stocks selling at a PE of 6 and PE's of 106.

There are only three categories of stocks.

1)Stocks everyone loves to hate (now its gold stocks) (buying opportunity)
2)Stocks nobody gives a hoot about (The stocks in your portfolio that are going nowhere)
3)Stocks that everybody loves (for now) (selling opportunity)

As stocks transition from category 2 to category 3, that is where the money is to be made. Intel,Corning and Cisco are moving into the three zone.

Just my BS opinion....I hope that you are all having a good year
