Guys, have you thought how the introduction of electric vehicles will affect oil companies. In the last few weeks I have been studying Tesla. The have really made it. The car is fully electric with a range of 500km per one charge. It is based on LiIon batteries. There is no doubt in my mind that this is the future of cars. Soon other companies will follow. They use an 80kwh battery. For the first time they had a profitable quarter. They are trying to be a very efficient car manufacturer and they will succeed in this, there will be no dealerships, everything produced by the order. I even went to see the car. It is amazingly simple in the back of the car huge trunk in the front and back, no gearbox, the body is aluminum (will not rust). Soon other companies will follow this will increase the demand of LiIon batteries. The battery comprises of about 7000 small LiIon batteries, connected together. I think the demand for LiIon batteries will increase dramatically very soon, because this is a proven concept already. The idea is simple. It is simple for operation - you charge it in your outlet at night. The cost of operation is about one dollar per 100km. This year they will make about 20000 cars. They claim they will reach about 20-25% margin. When I saw the car, and when I see the success and devotion to detail, the desire to innovate, Elon Musk reminds me of Steven Jobs. The growth of this company is beyond doubt to me. They have purchased enough real estate to expand five times. They will release a 30000 dollar car. This will bring hard time for gasoline manufact urers and engine and engine companies. I think this is the beginning of a big shift and we should think of a way to profit from it in the long run. The only thing that is bothering me is that they claim that they have 130 ,000,000$in deposits which means that about 25000 people payed 5000 to reserve a car. This is approximately their annual capacity. But if you place an order to buy the car, the delivery time is two months. I think that this company is worth about 25 PE. If they reach their efficiency target they will be making 2$ per share which gives 50$ price for the stock. Paul I am sorry, but I am selling put options with 50 strike price dec 17 which pay 10% .
