fonix (FONX): For the trading day of 12/5/97: Last trade... 5.... Net change for the day:... - 1/8 closing bid:... 4 7/8.... ask:... 5 Volume...142,600 Day Low: 4 11/16.... Day High:...5 A very interesting trading day for fonix. At the open the stock dropped to its low of the day and bumped around down there on very low volume. In the last thirty minutes, mostly in the last twenty minutes, 5,000 share blocks (at least seven of them) were bought in rapid order right up to the close. BTW, fonix has had for awhile now an RU flag on it which stands for Rule 71 regarding short sales. If you are short and aren't aware of its implications, better study up.
