I agree with everything you said! Increased PC demand is good for semi-equipment makers. Falling prices (Moore's Law) have driven the industry.

INTC's announcement confirmed a pick-up in PC sales that has been predicted and reported. This pick-up will not correct the semi market imbalance in the short term so it will not materially change the duration of the semi-equip slump. My comments were addressed to the short term euphoria caused by the INTC announcement which, for semi-equips, was squelched by the TNCR layoff announcement, yesterday.
