If you sort a bond taht pays 1%, all in Y, and get US$ funds that can give you and your broker 5.5% in US$, it's a good deal. It includes shorting Y, plus interest rate differential. Too bad your broker will most likely cheat you of all, or most of US$ interest, but, @ least, they'd like you for providing them with the opportunity to cheat you.
