She created a scandal where Clinton had to ADMIT to having "had relations" with her. For a groupie, that IS the trophy! I can't think of a groupie with a bigger "get" than Monica! Now, Clinton was an idiot to do her, I certainly thought he was smarter than that, but some men's "little brain" has inordinate power over them.
