Sam, Thanks for the input. This just shows one more time how risky the market is for an individual stock when there are major changes about to take place. A major hedge fund is probably lost it "shirt" and is trying to get half of it back in the courts. When all else fails tie it up in legal proceedings.

I haven't looked up when this merger was announced, but it has been quite awhile ago. As the article points out, if you tie this merger up long enough, the reasons for doing the merger when it was first thought of will go away and in the end the companies don't win and the hedge funds don't win.

Just another comment on another subject, the FOMC minutes released today really took the market in the down direction. Just a hint the Fed is thinking of "backing off" on the stimulus is enough to "rattle" the big and small players. For a long time now, the Fed has been the "big Kahuna" in the room, nothing else matters to the market.
