No, he made goofy charges about Paul being born of pagan parents, having a love affair for a mythical high priest's daughter, etc. I've read Eisenman and his theory about Paul is nothing like that. As for presenting Christianity as palatable to Roman authorities, that's true but it's a so what kind of true. Paul wrote of overseers (episkopos) and elders (presbyters) and ministers or servants (diakonos) but it's not clear that the functions of these persons were the same as modern bishops, priests, and/or deacons. These offices were likely derived from similar officials in synagogues, governed by a council of elders and a chief ruler.
