When a Geo is looking at his MMI data he has to also take note of the ground structure . If you are working at the bottom of a steep hill on high MMI data . You have to take a second look to make sure you are not getting material moving down slope with a rain fall .

This kind of effect should/can show up in your data and an experienced Geo will easily see it .

Some geologic environments just do not transfer MMI data as well as others . Read one study in a dry area where MMI data did not show a deposit that was already there . But that was the only one .

The info on MMI companies keep private as they spend a lot of $ on the tests . So there may be more info out there . It is widely used in Australia and it is well known for dry . So was there something unique to the failed test , not sure . Out of thousands of tests only one failure to find could be significant if it is your property but in the big picture for investors not so important .
