Yes, that is true...however DNA evidence suggests that the Native Americans on the East coast actually migrated from Europe during the last ice age. Campsite and artifacts found in the Mexico Valley by Mexico City radio carbon date back to around 22,000 years ago also, actually pre-dating the Clovis culture.

Using what you had said, Europeans are also immigrants, as evidence suggests humans migrated out of Africa initially.
