Hey Magician, leave them kids alone…

Why do folks love a magic show or a good science fiction movie? The spinner of tales, like the Magician, presents illusions which appear to the audience as completely credible. The presenter is the only one who has a solid grasp on reality or so they would have us believe.

Our understanding of reality is a matter of perception. An audience is willing to temporarily suspend what they know as fact for the sake of an entertaining magic show, a story being told, a movie, a written tale, even including an historical account. We know we must return to the practical and common sense understanding of our real and substantive existence when the show is over.

Whether it is the spinner of tales who employs imaginative configurations or a Magician presenting illusions we remain cognizant of a trick being played on our perception.

The Magician’s tool is science and technology which is significantly advanced and employed so as to be indistinguishable from magic. The spinner of tales uses words and images to invoke believable ideas and the perception of experience.

Whether you’ve been handed a perspective on substance by scientists or ideas via presentation of some sophisticated meanings of life, one fact remains; awareness is not bound exclusively by either.
