Barksdale Speaks

The Wall Street Journal has an audio clip up at their site of NSCP's CEO speech to executives in Washington.

He said that NSCP plans to have 100 FREE corporate oriented browser based third party app solutions available by the end of the year to work in an intranet environment. Remember Microsoft sells apps. Now how can you say anything bad about NSCP?

If I understand him correctly such apps would be OpSys independent. They could run on IntraNetware?

Novell ought to follow suit.

How about putting up FREE apps at its web site, FREE apps of interest to the millions of Netware customers to be downloaded. Am I getting ahead of the curve?

On the downside notice how skillfully Microsoft positions the Intel Merced announcement. The 64bit chip will be "optimized" for NT....two years from now (in small print). They NEVER miss a chance to market their products.

Dave please keep us posted on how long before you get a call from Novell.
