No no no, dude...the rates BEFORE the subsidies range from +2% to -29%...don't do selective reading of the article. You all said that rates would skyrocket and posted articles that predicted massive increases, including the CBO's own prediction...all WRONG so far. Makes sense...when you pool people rates drop.

every person in the nation who isn't disabled ought to pay for HIS OWN health care (and no one else's).

That is NOT what was happening before Obamacare...every hospital was adding cost to insured patients to pay for the poor and uninsured...you were paying for them one way or another...which is why the conservative heritage foundation and gingrich supported insurance for everyone...before obama did, and then they didn't.

That California has come up with a plan that buys insurance for people at my expense is not an accomplishment, IMO.

That is not California....that's ACA.
