RE: Does anyone else get the feeling that the relationship between Intel and Compaq are a little strained? Yes, they have a history of it. Didn't you read the article Paul wrote ? It told of an episode where Compaq went away from Intel and then came back. I have a hard copy at home, maybe the URL is on top. Let me know if you need it. I believe it was in a section of SI ??? jim
