Bad idea using private industry to build our roads, etc. The plutocrats/Republicans have been supplanting government with private industry since Raygun and it has really set us back e.g. private prisons and schools and contractors supplanting troops in war e.g. Haliburton that just rip us off.

That is the idea of Milton Friedman among others. Much better to get the corporations to pay their fair share and let the government build the roads (via contractors with bidding) as government is elected by us, and two the government can coordinate such projects with an overall comprehensive plan, private industry would have no knowledge of.

We must get away from this privatization and back to efficient government. Raygun started this nonsense that government is the problem and so Republican's have made sure it doesn't work; but Democrates know how to make government work.

And we need to start by getting rid of private prisons and strengthening the publican school system and getting universal health care.

Have them build the roads and bridges, streets, jobs, medical benefits etc. all under the nose of the Govt. we elected. It will cost the taxpayers a lot of money for the Govt to collect and execute the jobs. They should delegate the funding (from tax breaks) and execution of the projects to the private companies while the Govt. provides oversight to ensure that social objectives are being met.
