So...what wore Custer's hardy band out was toting poles from camp to camp? Talk about ripping off the native culture! The Indians went stakeal. All they wanted was a stake in the local trading post. Now, instead of post offices and stakehouses (where you can go if you need to take care of some wood) all they got was the shaft.
