Bilberry - Exactly! This is what I've been saying over and over, and no one seems to understand "shorting against the box". This provides an automatic built-in risk-free profit, as you said. So if they shorted at 4 1/2 or thereabouts, and cover with stock that cost them less than 3.40 (per CandleStick's calculations), that's a nice profit on a million or so shares (don't remember the exact amount of the offering). Also, the Swiss investors involved are not exactly "new" to the company. As I understand it, they have been prior investors in JMAR and they attended the annual meeting this year. So why should JMAR shop around in Calif. for investors when people already involved with the company are willing to step in again?

It's just my opinion, but I think we are close to lows that will launch the next move up. Next week's equities conference might be the time for more news to come out, and I think we might see more buying due to exposure to more analysts, brokers, etc. at the conference.
