Shooting in the back is not virtue. Somebody made bung loans to African from Brazil. Giving up on those loans is not virtue, it's just reality. Greece also borrowed money. Bad luck for the foolish creditors. Iceland banks had loads of loans. Too bad for the creditors. Icelanders sensibly told them that Icelanders would not pay loans given to somebody else. Same for Africans. The average bloke in the street isn't going to think he owes some Brazilians money that somebody else borrowed.
