Each market maker if dominant will create a curve of his signature.

Today's chart, has the daily characteristic that created the short interest for the last six months. Market maker tries to sell more short interest opening the market, then the rest of the day is spent buying back the borrowed stock. The move or pullback depends on the short interest accumulated. Stockholders tend to lose money when the pull back comes.

Day traders can sell when the market opens, then buy back his position waiting for the opportunity later.in the day. Not good for large trades when market maker will move or pull back a 10% change frequently. There are quite a few market makers for ARRS, but mostly small, and most sell too much short interest that gets squeezed. In the past, such squeezed short interests were covered by mnangement selling their options or excess ownership. aRRS been flat for several years.

This kind of curve makes a market with money from the short interest. Elliot wave does not work well.
