Wharfie, in engineering we study thermodynamics and a lot more besides: <apparently you think oceans have surfaces which heat up, but don't transfer that heat to the next layer > There are not "layers" like layers of sediment laid down on the ocean floor. There are molecules in contact and radiation, and convection. You make up things that you want to think that people believe. They are silly straw man arguments you make. They are not persuasive. Global Doomsters don't have enough credibility to simply make dogmatic assertions and sneer at people who disagree. The process of sneering and abuse plays to the few true believers, but regular humans recognized fake arguments such as sneering and abuse for what they are.

It's amusing that as the argument about CO2 and warming air was lost, the focus of Global Alarmists has shifted to the ocean. Good luck with measuring the change in heat content there over the last hundred years.

The attempt to do so should get mega$bucks to do "further research" to keep the loot flowing.
