Sorry for butting in but perhaps Nikon is ashamed..

because they're having difficulities with DUV and SVGI is really taking a bite. I can't imagine why Nikon would be disatisfied with CYMER? CYMER gives them the laser..Nikon sells the whole system to their customer..they should be happy to have this new technology available to increase and expand sales.

So what might have happened with Nikon? Were they purposely trying to damage CYMER back in Sep? Are they upset because they want more control of Cymer orders and orders placed by competitors? For them to say CYMER is making too much money is crap. Nikon has the ability to pay CYMER $450,000 for a light source and sell their complete package for a few million? This is an opportunity and $450,000 is reasonable.

Sounds like Nikon has a stick up their A**? Everyone's in the business to make money, there shouldn't be any problems?

Cymer was able to get Nikon to keep some of the order they wanted to push-out. Cymer said the remaining amount was sold to others. Was relations hurt between Nikon and Cymer?

I'd personally like to see SVGI continue to kick some butt. Without knowing more, it sounds like Nikon is saying the process is difficult to slow competitor sales until they get their manufacturing in order. I.E. - If you can't make it, make it sound like no one else can!

Alohaaaaaaa
