Yes. You believe in a government that redistributes wealth while I believe in a government that gets out of the way of those who produce wealth. That is the essence of almost all the disagreement between the Left and others.

So, it comes down to tax rates and regulation and both sides are essentially fixed in their positions. Facts are twisted and contorted, or don't make sense to one point of view or the other.

The one immutable fact is all this boils down to a single point: Economic productivity helps everyone in a society, and government cannot EVER create net economic productivity. The more "stuff" moved out of government's hands into private enterprise, the greater the economic productivity. And the better off society will be. For some reason, no one on the Left seems to ever acknowledge this fact, even though economists have known it for centuries.
