There is way too much friendliness between Washington and Wall Street. It is not a truly free market any more. Too much rescue money from Washington.

In the long run society is always better served when firms that get too big fail. Digesting the loss when they fail is painful. What emerges from the rubble are generally smaller more logical units rather than a patched together quilt of unconnected entities.

Failure also reminds others of the peril of over reaching.
