Hamels has been way less than what is expected. He wasn't booed when he left the field but it was more like total silence, which is not what you ever get with Phillies fans. It might be his fat contract that has softened his desire to win, and I agree with you that it isn't all lack of run support. He proved that the other night.

I don't know what to think about Howard. He can get some timely hits but he is a complete sucker for the inside breaking pitch with two strikes, swinging and missing with wild abandon. Revere is a shadow of himself and Michael Young has flat lined. Brown, a big question mark at Lehigh last season is looking like a superstar. Thank God we have one, anyway.

Lost again today to a pitiful Brewers team but Cloyd hasn't done that well with the Iron Pigs this season and you can't expect much. I don't know how he pitched because I didn't watch. Pettibone, until the other day at least, has been a pleasant surprise. I always look forward to Lee pitching as he is our one reliable starter, and I felt that way about Hamels too, but not now anymore.

We have a game or even two where we look really good as a team, and then the wheels fall right off and it makes you scratch your head.I believe that what we have here is a .500 team AT BEST, and I think that's all we can expect for the rest of this season.
