Here's my crazy theory on why stocks are declining and why bonds should rally from here... ben bernanke wants to keep rates lower for longer, but the bond market has been selling off because of a strong stock market, people have been dumping their bonds for a better return with rising stocks... so, in order to keep rates lower and to trigger a bond market rally, bernanke is allowing the stock markets to sell off... this would push people back into bonds and keep rates low... this is just a hunch, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if it were 100% accurate...
