Yes, what I have read about the "intelligent design movement"... for example "The Discovery Institute" they seem to ignore this older, more general idea (which makes some serious sense to me) in favor of their own new version which they claim points at THEIR VERSION of a creator as "the designer".

In fact, from the little I have read (their website for example) they don't even discuss the massive amounts of information out there that parallels their claims, they simply promote their "new theory". So in ignoring the work already done rather than including it, at least in summary, they lose all credibility.

Of course having a dopey lawyer like Casey Luskin running around making a damn fool of himself in the name of their "cause" is just icing on the cake. That someone like Behe would have any relationship with a group associating with Luskin probably going to insure a place in history's dustbin for him... but I could be wrong.
