| | | Wow, you have quite a memory. And, coincidentally, I came clean with my wife about that missed opportunity just last night during a conversation we were having about the wife of a couple we know. Found out she is a day trader! Minivan mom with two kids the same age as my daughter. Anyway, she told my wife she had made a lot of money shorting Apple, but now she is back long again.
For my part, you are right. Back in 2006, I wanted to buy a big load of Apple, but I was hung up on getting it for less than $80/share. Thought I was being a shrewd buyer. Time proved I was just dumb.
Really dumb. And, if there was any question about my stupidity, I eliminated any possible doubt by buying a few shares last year for $614.39. Fortunately, it was such a minor purchase I can laugh about it. But still.
