Steve:
More info on biotechs -- see Message 2878419 News shows European, particularly Irish biotechs are poised for advances. Recent changes in Irish tax laws and favorable business climate will benefit stocks. See Message 2885556 I would strongly recommend looking at biotechs with European exposure such as bioi and particularly triby.
As to comparison to to semi stocks, the example I refer to is the herd psychology. Yes semis are under pricing pressure due to Asian problems and downward profit pressure in that regiion. But response from the market seems to go beyond the fundamentals of many good companies which are not going to be so strongly affected. Likewise triby as an example, has broad markets, more than 65 countries, a wide range of products, and its company is now converting to weekend production to meet demand. Bioi has a great growth curve. It's a steal. I don't see a downside unless the overall market collapses and loses liquidity. But where will the trillions in pension funds go? Their only alternative will open up if we see an increase in interest rates. That isn't apparent yet. I have kept adding more to my portfolio over the past two weeks as I see prices fall. I don't see a downside with these prices. Many profits to the patient!
PS Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. We have been having storms in Alaska and the internet was not accessible last night. That plus a 4.9 earthquake this morning! I hope that doesn't portend the market.
