<<knew far more about this guy's medical and financial status...> Try living in an active adult community... that's all one hears about. Pills, ails, surgeries, etc. People wear their woes on their sleeves like it's a badge of honor. The other details heard are the caring for their parent(s) and the everyday drama that goes on with that.
