Different denominations, especially Protestant versus Catholic, have different traditions/methods from each other.
Number one blasher, this is an evolution thread not a ceationist protestant sunday school & you were the one that came here attacking.
Number two, yes am very familiar with the differences between sects of Christianity, they were demonstrated fairly comprehensively in the Protestant / Catholic wars that devasted Germany & large parts of Europe & England/Spain rivalry for a few centuries, many millions were slaughtered.
Protestants (like me) for the most part, do not believe in memorizing specific prayers, but rather pray from the heart what they feel at any moment.
Which leads to number three, when did u ever get the idea that prayer, contemplation & meditation is somehow your sole divine domain because you are a Christian? These are just as much part of a secular person's world as they are in a religious one, in fact everyone reflects, meditates & ruminates each to his natural degree. (some people believe in handling snakes to honor & connect with their "god", to each his own indoctrination)
The same applies to morals & ethics too, society is a massive complex of laws that govern our behaviors, attempt to encourage duty, courage & honor with myriad examples of secular charity & determining justice and right from wrong. |
