Hello, Ken and others. Glad to find this group as I have been a Holmer shareholder for some time and I am more convinced now than ever of its attractiveness as an intelligent speculation. I bought it initially for its Cuban program, so for me the Timmins play is just icing on the cake.

Don't know why it's depressed this morning - last trade at 1.42. Looks like someone had to pay some bills and dumped 20,000 shares.

Anyway, I thought readers here might be interested to know that the Canadian Mining Newsletter, to which I subscribe, has turned bullish on HGM. Following is what Mr. Charters had to say in commenting on Holmer's press release of September 13 relative to the company's exploration progress.

CMN: Bulletin Sept 14 1996...Holmer drills Important gold Deposit North of Band Ore..

Holmer is on their third hole now on the Timmins Gold deposit. They are starting to see well altered rocks that are favourable. This deposit has some grades around 2.4 ounces per ton and hitting high grade is a high likelihood. The probability of expanding this deposit into the 2 million or more ton range in this area is very good. We have to remember that the heyday for real primary gold exploration ended in 1937 in Canada and the price kept a lot of grass roots exploration from taking place.. Much subsequent flow thru money was spent by major companies that traditionally do not find gold mines and the new talent in Canada was less than experienced in the Gold paradigm. Previously the prejudice on a Gold program was to believe that the potential of west Timmins was limited or that you could hang your hat on just a few drill holes..thinking has changed drastically and the Timmins camp could be just getting underway with a new
1930's style exploration endeavour.

Holmer is run by the former exploration director for Cambell Red Lake Mines..The Cambell was the highest grade Gold mine in Canada.
