I know these charts, but they didn't show the same pattern in the ratio chart you posted previously. That was my point. BTW, the 50-dma bounce off GDX only happened twice this year, but not during the last 3 years. It wasn't obvious to you until after it happened the second time. It may turn into a pattern in the future, but don't see any particular reason to happen based on its historical data. Looks like a pattern for SPY indeed.
