I read the arXiv.org paper from last Fall which is a preliminary version of the paper referred to in the PR you've referenced.

To the degree I'm capable of judging these things, I find it convincing. His argument that CO2 is not the global warming culprit and especially since 1970 seems very strong. I recommend others here read it. Be interesting to see if they agree.
