The director you are referring to was Burt Adams. But he didn't buy stock in the company shortly before the bankruptcy filing. He bought about a million dollars worth of stock some 9 months earlier. Why did he do that? Well, you'll have to ask him because I don't know. Personally, I was selling at that point. I would hazard a guess that they were then thinking that Telemark could be turned around. Sadly, for them and you, it couldn't. Well, that's the way it goes sometimes. You never know for sure what a reservoir holds until you start producing it. If they'd flow tested the wells before committing to development, disaster might have been avoided. But that would have been a very costly precaution which they considered unnecessary. Considering the brilliant success achieved earlier at Gomez, it's quite understandable. Sobering to think that the seeds of destruction were actually sown so long ago, isn't it?
