I can't help you out with opinion on CVL. However, here is a site to visit and ask some questions.

Take the time to review the messages --- there are good URL link addresses for Australian information.

A popular trend has been developing over the past year whereas Australian companies are choosing to offer shares and listing in Canada. I checked out a couple companies myself and liked one in particular - Novus, which trades in Australia.

Mining and oil "down under" are taking a beating also, per comments I've posted regarding market in Sidney. I'm surprised someone from Cannacord is recommending this company over that of Canadian counterparts. There are Canadian companies whose shares offer good value due to the deep sector correction that has been taking place. Why fool around with oils elsewhere at this time.

Do you currently own shares in oil concerns? If not, I highly recommend that you look at a company with operations in Canada. This will better expose you to the industry and you will be able to monitor progress of the company more closely. If you would like a little direction, let me have some idea of your investment objectives and I will provide a list of companies for you to perform due diligence upon.

Have you gained access to the Cannacord website. If they are soliciting new accounts, they will set you up for accessing the information over a trial period of approximately 3 months -- if you request it. Take advantage of it, if you haven't already. I can't get access to it because I'm located in the states. They have an oil analyst and provide daily comments as well as research reports.
