This from the eyes of a naturalized US citizen:

This no doubt is a country of immigrants and they have contributed a lot to the greatness of this country. While the early citizens were poor, unfed and escaping persecution, the immigrants since the 50's have largely been professionals who brought their skills for the betterment of this country. (e.g. Henry Kissinger etc. etc.). the Silicon valley is full of them.

Illegal immigration has become a problem today. We Americans are to blame for it because we have always wanted to hire cheaper labor. We need to abandon that desire first. High fences cannot stop illegal immigration. People will always jump those fences as long as we Americans want to hire them. So big business needs to cooperate first by voluntarily acting as immigration agents by reporting fraudulent presentation of green cards etc. etc. If that is enforced strictly, then we would not need a fence and all the added costs to monitor those areas that go with it.

Secondly, I hear that these illegal immigrants can become naturalized citizens after some years. Once they do so, then they can act as seed immigrants and bring their entire families (brothers, sisters, their spouses, their children etc. etc.) The question is whetehr they should be eligible to do so. The only people they should be able to sponsor are their immediate family members and parents. Not the entire baseball team. There needs to be that distinction between amnesty naturalization and regular naturalization.

Or else why did I wait in line for my turn as an immigrant? And I will admit that I took the full course of the law in that I brought my entire baseball team here even though it took 20 years to do so. But I did everything legally. There needs to be that distinction between legal naturalization and amnesty naturalization.
