I know someone who works for Lehman. In the past he was a trader on the AMEX floor. He said once that there was a trader there who stood near the Schwab trader's and would 'eat' their mistakes. This guy would go home as soon as he made 1,000. Some days he would be gone at 10 AM. Some days he was sweating it out at 4. I would believe that 1,000 a day is quite possible. Using 10,000 to do it is quite improbable.
