| | | No, the reality is you're simply wrong. Unions are not what made the middle class prosperous, the work ethic did, an expanding economy did, lower total taxes did, less regulations to start and grow a business did, inexpensive energy did and an educated work force, that in large part were better educated in high school, then most college graduates are today.
My parents never graduated from college, but they could do things straight out of public high school that positively effected their immediate employment. They could write exceptionally well, certainly better than I can. Why? It's straight forward, while they were taught the basics at a young age extremely well, I went to one of the worst inner city school districts in the country and have had to work my adult life to learn the basics. Why are the schools so terrible in places like the District of Columbia? UNIONS!
Why has the work ethic degraded? In part, because of the liberal feel good self-esteem movement, that put hard work aside for feel good about yourself no matter how poorly you're performing programs.
Why has the economy stagnated and stopped expanding? In large part because of liberal deficit spending, high taxes, onerous regulations, overzealous environmental policies and laws acting as a break on small business expansion.
Why have total taxes gone up dramatically on the middle class? Once again, liberals and their spendaholic feel good but accomplish nothing social policies.
Why have energy prices shot up? Once again, liberal environmental zealots who have prevented energy extraction, destroyed the expansion of nuclear power, and prevented a host of ways of reducing the price of energy.
Conservatives don't support plutocrats. Liberals do! Big time limousine liberals are the plutocrats and they've convinced narrow minded liberals they're for the little guy, instead of for their stock portfolios. Warren Buffet and the rest of the Wall street billionaires are laughing with their buddies in Hollywood all the way to the bank. |
