Can't monitors run off Thunderbolt?

They can and do, but you have to have a graphics card to drive it. The existing graphics card in the new Mac Pro will drive 3 monitors, that's it. There's no way to add another card unless you get an external PCI-e chassis. That adds to the cost.

I didn't see where its SSD boot ONLY, are you sure?

I didn't word that well. What I meant was you can't install a larger hard drive unless it's a larger SSD drive, and those still aren't cheap. Certainly the new Pro will be able to boot from an external.

I wish Apple would just make the OS more rock solid.

On that we can agree. Mac OS X has become buggier with each new version. I keep hoping the new Mountain Lion incremental updates will fix the bugs, but they only seem to keep creating new ones. Hence, I'm staying with Lion for now.

The last great version of OS X was Snow Leopard.
