I think I'm beginning to see that people with different backgrounds and experiences, though they may be looking at the same facts, use different frameworks of reason to sometimes arrive at polar opposite conclusions
That was a really good post.

My way I looking at it is like a famous story most of us know that I will modify to make my point - the story of the blind men and the elephant. One obvious change I'll make is change to blind women to make it more interesting since most of us are a bunch of old guys who... Excuse me.
Read on even if you know the story.

You have an elephant in a room
(don't worry how she got there)
And several blind women trying to determine what this thing is standing in their room
(Again, don't worry about what all these blind women are doing together in a room. Use your imagination)

One touches the leg and says that an elephant is like a tree,
The one at the front feels the tusk and says an elephant is hard and sharp
and so on for each blind woman

Except for an enlightened few who go around the elephant, experience all parts and putting it all together.

Okay, the point?

Some of the mediocre blind women only stay at the front, in awe of the magnificence of the trunk and tusks and sounds that vibrate the room.

Others only stay at the back, enjoying other experiences.

Oh yes and there are some who are enlightened and explore but spend most of their time concentrating on one end.

Seen that a lot.
