I found this on SI in the sample stockletters section(the link is at the end of the message but you might want to read it first and then come back here). I'm not saying this is a stock we should consider but am simply putting this here to give people an idea of how I think we should start a stock discussion. It probably wouldn't suit us anyway as it doesn't have options, etc. But I think the format and type of information is something we should strive for. Maybe we won't have that much info to start but we certainly need more than " what do you think about xyz"? I cannot speak for everyone but I personally am much more comfortable investing in a company when I can understand what they do and why they are going to be successful or at least to have someone who can help me to understand. As those of you from the IFMX thread know, e.g. I am not technical but got the info I wanted to know from others. If someone doesn't know anything about the company except their stock price and fundamentals, TA or whatever I'm not particularly interested at this point because I view this as too risky a concept to gamble away my money without some additional knowledge, i.e. the company's business prospects which you can only get from understanding the industry and company. Not saying the other stuff isn't important but that can come later. Again, not saying you have to have the amount of information in this link but something of a little more substance than many of the posts on this thread have provided. The key thing I would like to see is a)how they got in trouble and b)what are they doing to fix it and is this reasonable and why. If I can get to it I might do this with SCOP since I recommended that stock just have to sit down and get it done.
